WINDOWS 11 HAS ARRIVED !
It lacks very little to Microsoft Event, that of today at 17, when according to rumors that have been chasing each other for weeks now, the new operating system of the Redmond house will be presented, which will have the name of Windows 11.
All this despite Microsoft in the 2015, with the release of Windows 10 he said it would be the latest operating system developed by the company.
Some functions will be carried over from the Windows 10X project whose development has been permanently abandoned.
One of the main innovations of the new operating system will be the design, with the new Fluent Design that will bring a new graphic interface, new icons and animations. It will be possible to customize the user interface in order to have a floating Start Menu and task bar, no longer attached to the vertex of the screen and a display with smoother and more rounded corners can be chosen.
As for the Start Menu, it seems that Microsoft has introduced the possibility of changing the classic view by choosing the one with Live Tiles ( the tiles with the titles that update automatically).
Other graphic changes would concern multi-screen devices allowing to overcome some display problems that emerged in Windows 10.
With the Windows Snap function it will be possible to choose between four predefined layouts and will simplify the management of the windows open on the screen.
Another novelty is the new disk management system that will allow, through the Modern interface, manage partitions and volumes directly from the settings screen. A new system to monitor the battery will be introduced and the task manager improved.
GPU management has also been improved ( Grafic Processing Unit - graphics card) for computers with more than one graphics card, you can select which one to use to run the various apps and programs, for example by deciding for the energy saving card or the higher performance card.
These of course are just some of the news leaked in recent days, we'll know more tonight.
And now we come to what interests us most, that is, how to access the new operating system.
It is likely after the release of the usual beta version, the new operating system will be able to be installed on our PCs in November 2021.
From the latest news it appears that Windows 11 will be released as a free update for those coming from Windows as well 7 and Windows 8 , as already happened for Windows 10.
The new operating system will not be downloaded via Windows Update but it will be necessary to use the Media Creation Tool to create external support for the installation or perform the update directly on the PC.
For those coming from Windows 8, you will need to install Windows 8 .1 to be able to upgrade to Windows for free 11. The license key will thus be converted into a valid version in order to receive the update.
